Main completed research projects:

   Formation theory and fulfillment mechanism of the regional investment policy in the North of Russia. (2000 - 2003). The project concentrated on a wide range of issues dealing with investment processes control on a regional level. The methods for realization of the investment policy by regional administration were substantiated. The project also presented a comparative description of investment activity in the northern regions of Russia and revealed its main trends, problems and their solutions.

   The project also suggests estimation methods for investment process in terms of necessary reproduction of the whole integrated stock of a territory. By the example of the Murmansk region the calculations of investment security of the reproduction process were made and the necessity of a legacy fund was substantiated to assist sustainable development. A system of criteria, methods and procedures aimed at efficient distribution of budgetary resources on investment purposes was given.


Current research subject:

   Scientific foundations and concerns agreement mechanism for fulfillment of large investment projects in the Euro-Arctic region (2004 -2006).

   The main thrust of this project is to develop approaches for investment policy formulation related to production of oil, gas and other natural resources of the Euro-Arctic region by regional administration together with agreement of concerns of the region, investors and Federal Center, with consideration for sustainable development principles.
