Main completed research projects:

   Development of main regulations for agricultural policy in the European North in competitive environment (2000). The project suggests some guidelines for development of food industries. It was established that the main criterion of sustainable operation of agricultural enterprises in competitive environment is their transition to hitch-like development. It was proved that no crisis situation can be overcome without governmental support.

   Problems of food security in the northern regions (2003). The project suggests a conceptual scheme and formulates main guidelines for food security of the northern regions, which are based on diversification of delivery sources and selective protectionism toward local producers. An integrated methodological approach to analysis and assessment of organization forms of agroindustrial integration was proposed and adopted. This approach regards any integrated agroindustrial organization as a two-sided entity (organizing-technological and socio-economic).


Current research subject:
Methodological foundations for food security system of the northern regions (2004 -2006).
-     Definition of system-forming factors, basic elements of food security system and their systematization.
-     Structure analysis of the food security system, development conditions.
-     Conceptual model of food security system of the region.
-     Definitions of features of vertically integrated organizations. Analysis and estimation of economic relations mechanism in a vertically integrated union of a holding-type in the agroindustrial complex and substantiation of corporate management efficiency in such a union.
