Laboratory (¹ 27) - Oil-and-Gas Fields Development Geodynamics
Head: A.I. Kalashnik, Ph.D.(Eng.)
Research areas: Studies of geodynamical and engineering-geological problems of mining, storing and transregional
transportation of
hydrocarbon raw-materials in conditions of Barents/Euro-Arctic region, including conditions of shelf.
There has been built an automated engineering-geological and geomechanical data base for over 130 deposits and promising structures of
hydrocarbon raw-materials of the shelf of Barents region seas.
Based on numerical calculations there has been implemented assessment of the stressed state of the rock mass of the Barents sea shelf.
Conceptual, information-logical and geomechanical models of operational shelf geofacility and grounds of their adequacy are provided.
There have been determined specific features of the stressed state of rock masses when developing and operating a shelf condensed gas
deposit for the most probable combinations of its spatial-geometrical parameters and geogeologic-block structure of the mass.
There have been developed methods grounds of geodynamical monitoring of the geological medium of regions of mining, storing and
transportation of hydrocarbon raw-materials on the basis of a package of geomechanical, seismological and geodesic methods.
