RESEARCH ACTIVITIES



The research effort of the institute covers a wide range of social-economic and physico-technical issues related to operation and development of energy economy in the north of Russia.
  • Development of scientifically grounded lines of development for energy economy in the Northern Economical Region (NER), including the Barents region, with regard for ecological factors.
  • Energy saving organization and management in the industry and energy engineering of the NER.
  • Development of gasification in the NER.
  • Development of methods and ways for introduction of nonconventional power sources in the NER.
  • Development of suggestions for perfection of economical and legal mechanisms in NER management.
  • Development of measures for electromagnetic compatibility of power communications in the NER.
  • Development of recommendation and engineering solutions for reliability growth and economy in use rise of high-voltage networks with regard for the peculiarities of the NER.
  • Development of nonconventional electrotechnic processes in mining and technology of mineral raw material.
