The presidium of Kola Science Center awarded a gratifying letter to the Head of secretariat of the Government of the Murmansk region Barabanov Aleksey for an important contribution to science, reinforcement of the scientific potential of the Murmansk region and in connection of his 60-th anniversary. At its latest session the Municipal Council passed a resolution to confer the rank of the "Honorary citizen of Apatity" to the following scientists of Kola Science Centre: academicians Vladimir Kallinikov and Feliks Mitrofanov. The tutorial council of the foundation for assistance to Russian science named the winners of the new contest for the post-graduates employed at the institutes of the RAS "The best post-graduates of the Russian Academy of Science", who competed for grants in the sphere of natural sciences and the humanities. The prizewinners are Gabov Dmitri and Nitkina Elena. Lyalina Ludmila and Bakalin Vadim won the nomination for "Candidates of science of RAS" and their grants were extended for the second year. Voitehovski Yuri won the nomination for "Philosophy doctors of the RAS" in 2005. On 28th of January 2005 the General Meeting of scientists of KSC approved the activity results of
the Centre in 2004. |
