Vinogradov Anatoli Nikolaevich

      (born on January 1, 1940). A.N.Vinogradov graduated from the Leningrad state university (1961). A.N.Vinogradov holds a Ph.D. degree in geology ("Petrology and metallogenic peculiarities of porrjas-granites", 1968). A.N.Vinogradov used to work at the Geological institute of KSC of the Russian Academy of Sciences from 1961 to 2003 as a senior laboratory assistant, a junior researcher, the academic secretary of the institute, the head of. Laboratory of magmatism and magmatogene mineralization (1985-2003), the academic secretary of Presidium of the Kola branch of AS of the USSR (1985-1991), the main academic secretary and the head of Department of international cooperation of the Kola science centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences (since 1991). Since 2003 A.N.Vinogradov has been director of the Kola regional seismological centre – a branch of Geophysical service of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The area of his scientific interests is the development of mineragenic classificaton of magmatic series of early Precambrian, reconstruction of endogenous modes of magmatism and conditions of formation of ore-magmatic systems; the complex petrologo-geophysical studying of the deep structure; geoecology.


      A.N.Vinogradov carried out the development of petrologic models of formation of Umba and Litsa-Araguba intrusive complexes; the development of mineragenic classificaton of Precambrian magmatic formations, creation of a map of magmatic formations of the 1:500 000 scale; typification of ore-magmatic systems of granitoid formations and the estimation of their metallogenic potential; development of geologic-petrological models of ore-bearing intrusives of Juovo-Ajv (Mo, W), Western Keivys (Zr, Nb, Ta, rare earth elements), amazonite rand-pegmatites (Li, Y, Ta, Nb), uranium metasomatites and hydrothermalites. The results of research are presented in 266 papers, 196 of them are published. As the academic secretary of presidium of KSC of the Russian Academy of Sciences A.N.Vinogradov contributed much in the improvement of scientific-organizational activity, development of international contacts; he initiated the establishment of the Center of adaptation of man in the North at the KSC of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1997), the International Studies centre in the Barentsregion (a member of the Academic council and the head of some projects in 1995-2004). Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (1999), member of Presidium, the academic secretary of the Murmansk regional centre of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Member of the board and the editorial board of the Fund "The Kola Encyclopaedia", the academic secretary of the Coordination council of Murmansk region for scientific and technical and innovative policy and Regional advisory council of the Russian Federal Property Fund (since 2003), the co-ordinator of the program "Development of the ecological platform for Northern Kalotte and the Northwest of Russia" (2003-2005). Senior lecturer of the Apatity branch of MSTU. A.N.Vinogradov was given an award of Friendship (1999), medals "For excellent labour" (1986), P.L.Kapitsa (the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, 1999) and D.Kantemir (2004) medals, certificates of honour of the Central Committee of All-Union Lenin Young Communist League (Komsomol) and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
